Here's the honest version of our origin story: we were frustrated.
Not in a "let's disrupt an industry" TED Talk way. In a "why does sending an invoice require four apps, a PDF export, and a small prayer" way.
Small business owners — contractors, salon owners, food truck operators, freelancers, the people who actually make things happen — were spending more time on admin than on the work they love. QuickBooks felt like accounting school. Spreadsheets felt like 2009. And every "simple" tool somehow needed a YouTube tutorial just to log an expense.
Our north star is boring (on purpose)
We believe running your business should be easy. Not "enterprise easy." Not "after a 6-week onboarding call" easy. Actually easy.
That means:
- One place for invoices, payments, time tracking, expenses, and scheduling
- Lux, our built-in AI assistant, who knows your numbers and answers plain-English questions
- Automate business — turn it on and Lux handles follow-ups in the background, or approve each move with one tap
- No bloat — if a feature doesn't help you get paid or save time, it doesn't ship
We don't take ourselves too seriously
We're a Delaware C-corp called Emmber, Inc. You know us as Plus (pluse.to). We build business software. We're not saving the world — we're trying to make Tuesday afternoon less annoying.
Our design philosophy is stolen shamelessly from the best consumer products: calm interfaces, one primary action per screen, and software that disappears into your workflow instead of becoming the workflow.
What we're building toward
A platform where you open Plus, see what needs attention, handle it in a tap, and get back to work. Where Lux notices an overdue invoice before you do. Where Tap to Pay on your phone replaces "I'll send you a link later." Where QuickBooks sync happens without you thinking about it.
If that sounds like the kind of tool you'd actually use — not admire in a demo and abandon in a week — try Plus free. No credit card. No 47-step setup wizard. Just your business, minus the paperwork spiral.
And if you hate it? Email us at support@pluse.to. We read every message. Seriously.
