Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to building software that everyone can use.
Last updated: May 15, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Our Commitment
Emmber, Inc. (“Pluse,” “we”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards across the Pluse web platform at pluse.to and the Pluse iOS application.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. It is an ongoing process embedded in our design, engineering, and quality-assurance work.
2. Conformance Target
Pluse targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard most commonly referenced by US accessibility law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the European Accessibility Act.
Conformance status: Partially conformant. Pluse meets most WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria but some content and interface elements do not yet fully conform. Known gaps and remediation timelines are listed in Section 5 below.
3. Accessibility Features Implemented
The Pluse platform includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation — All primary navigation, forms, and interactive controls can be operated using a keyboard alone.
- Screen-reader support — Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive labels for assistive technologies such as VoiceOver (iOS / macOS), NVDA (Windows), JAWS, and TalkBack (Android).
- Color contrast — Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Resizable text — Content remains readable and functional at up to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on a standard 1280px viewport.
- Reduced motion — The platform honors the operating system “Reduce Motion” preference (
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query). - Dark and light themes — Both themes are tested independently for contrast and visibility.
- Form labels — All form fields use programmatically associated labels and error messages.
- Focus indicators — Visible focus rings on all interactive elements.
- Alternative text — Meaningful images and icons include descriptive
altattributes oraria-labelvalues. Decorative imagery is markedaria-hidden. - Captions and transcripts — Any video or audio content includes captions, transcripts, or both.
- Logical reading order — Content is structured so screen readers and keyboard users encounter it in a meaningful sequence.
4. Assistive Technologies Tested
We test Pluse with the following combinations:
- VoiceOver on iOS (Safari, Pluse iOS app) and macOS (Safari)
- NVDA on Windows (Firefox, Chrome, Edge)
- TalkBack on Android (Chrome, Pluse mobile web)
- Keyboard-only navigation on all supported browsers
- Browser zoom at 100%, 150%, and 200%
- Operating system “Reduce Motion” and “Increase Contrast” settings
5. Known Issues & Remediation
We are transparent about areas where Pluse does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. The following known gaps are tracked internally with target remediation dates:
- Some legacy modal dialogs do not yet trap focus correctly when opened by keyboard. Targeted for resolution in Q3 2026.
- Certain data-dense tables (e.g., transaction history) may not announce row context optimally with screen readers. Targeted for resolution in Q3 2026.
- A small number of chart visualizations rely on color to convey information. We are adding pattern fills and text annotations. Targeted for resolution in Q4 2026.
- The Lux AI assistant interface is being audited for screen-reader announcement of streaming output. Targeted for resolution in Q3 2026.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed here, please report it using the contact information in Section 8. We treat accessibility reports with the same priority as security reports.
6. Standards & Legal Framework
This Accessibility Statement is informed by the following standards and laws:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (for federal procurement contexts)
- 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA), where applicable to video or audio content
- State-level accessibility laws including the California Unruh Civil Rights Act and the New York State Human Rights Law, where applicable
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) and EN 301 549, where applicable to EU/EEA users
7. Third-Party Content
Pluse integrates with services from third parties — for example, Stripe-hosted checkout, Intuit QuickBooks, and Apple Sign In. These third parties operate under their own accessibility commitments. While we choose vendors that prioritize accessibility, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content or interfaces served directly by third parties.
